Do we need to watch the movies chronologically? It's probably kind of a pain to do that, and you can't really argue influence definitively anyway, but making connections between movies is easier I think if they are presented in order. Otherwise a dumb person like me says, "Oh man, Footloose really rips off Bring It On shamelessly."
